Pharmacogenetics-Based Study on Individualized Use of Sodium Valproate
Sodium valproate (VPA) is a first-line prescription drug widely used in the treatment of epilepsy. However, in clinical applications, it has been found that there is a large individual variation in the blood concentration of VPA. In particular, excessively high blood drug concentrations can lead to various side effects, especially …
The Safety and Efficacy Evaluation of Everolimus as an Adjunctive Treatment for Focal Refractory Epilepsy
The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of everolimus as an adjunctive therapy for refractory epilepsy. The significance lies in addressing whether the mTOR inhibitor sirolimus has antiepileptic adjunctive effects for a broader range of patients with refractory epilepsy, with the hope of providing a new …

The goal of this trial is to learn about the effect of PRAX-222 in pediatric participants with early onset SCN2A developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE), aged 2 to 18 years.
Contribution of Fast-ripples to the Improvement of the Neurosurgical Management of Drug-refractory Epilepsy
The main aim of this study is to evaluate the contribution of fast-ripples (FR) information on the neurosurgery management of patients with drug-refractory epilepsy investigated by Stereo-ElectroEncephaloGraphy (SEEG), as measured by freedom from disabling seizures one-year post-surgery. 220 patients (for whom 4-6 usual clinical macro-electrodes will be replaced by hybrid …
Percutaneous Repair for Drug - Resistant Epilepsy by Intervention of Closing the Patent Foramen Ovale(PREDICT-PFO Trial)
Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is the most common cause of right-to-left shunt (RLS) in the adult heart, with a prevalence of approximately 25% in the general population. Extensive research has demonstrated an association between PFO and neurological conditions such as cryptogenic stroke, migraine, and sleep apnea syndrome, and it is …

Sleep problems are more common and more severe in children with epilepsy. The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the effect of a clinic-based and technology-supported sleep intervention for improving sleep and health in children with epilepsy and their parents.
Epilepsy Seizure Detection With Innovative Tripolar EEG (tEEG)
Concurrent electroencephalography (EEG) and new tripolar EEG (tEEG) will be recorded from adult and pediatric patients. In some patients stereo EEG (sEEG) will also be recorded concurrently.
Evaluating Modulation Effects of Burst Stimulation Patterns Using SEEG
The study aims to evaluate modulation effects of burst stimulation patterns via SEEG.
Treating Postictal Symptoms Using Ibuprofen and Nifedipine
This study will evaluate the effect of ibuprofen or nifedipine on post-seizure hypoperfusion and neurological deficits in patients with epilepsy. One group will receive ibuprofen, another will receive nifedipine, and anther placebo.
