The Belgian REAL (BE.REAL) Registry
This is an observational non-interventional study. The visit schedule is according to the routine clinical practice. Only data corresponding to study variables within the specified study period will be collected. The study will recruit patients into one single cohort: Inclisiran in combination with other LLTs. The patients will receive Inclisiran …
Multimodal Cardiovascular and Hepatic Population Imaging
Medical imaging is increasingly important for understanding diseases, detecting them early, and personalizing treatments. New imaging techniques, which can measure processes in the body without surgery, are opening the door to a more precise approach to medicine. Instead of relying on general probabilities, this technology allows us to analyze specific …
Procizumab (PCZ; AK1967) in Critical Cardiovascular Care
The objective of this Phase 1b trial is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of procizumab, a monoclonal antibody under development for the treatment of cardiogenic shock (CS). CS is a life-threatening hypoperfusion of vital organs that frequently results in death. In addition to safety and tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics …
Early Intervention to Promote Cardiovascular Health of Mothers and Children
Early Intervention to Promote Cardiovascular Health of Mothers and Children (ENRICH) is a cluster randomized clinical trial, funded by the National Heart Lung & Blood Institute. The study is designed to test the effectiveness of home visiting intervention to promote cardiovascular health and reduce disparities in maternal and early childhood …
Novel Risk Prediction Approaches for the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases in Italy: the CVRISK-IT Trial (CVRISK-IT)
The CVRISK-IT study aims to evaluate the health benefit of measuring genetic and imaging risk information in men and women considered at 'low-to-moderate' or 'high' risk of developing cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in a randomized controlled trial in Italian primary care settings. Our primary objective is to answer a fundamental question …
Virtual Ward-Assisted Very earLy dIschArge of Low-rIsk STEMI patieNTs: the VALIANT-STEMI Trial
Observational studies have suggested that early discharge (24hrs with follow up virtually by telephone) of patients who are low risk and have had successful treatment following ST elevation myocardial infarction is safe. This has not been tested in a randomised controlled trial. In this trial the study team propose to …
Effect of INtravenous FERRic Carboxymaltose Onmortality and Cardiovascular Morbidity, and Quality of Life in Iron Deficient Patients With Recent Myocardial infarCTion
Non-commercial, multicentre, randomised, double-blind, parallel group, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Eligible patients were randomly assigned (1:1) using a secure, central, interactive, web-based response system, to intervention FCM or placebo arm. Time of observation: minimum of 8 months up to a maximum of 36 months. Primary Study Objective: Primary: Evaluation of the …
Inclisiran Versus Placebo for the Prevention of Major Adverse Cardiovascular and Limb Events in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention or Peripheral Endovascular Intervention
V-INTERVENTION will evaluate the effectiveness of inclisiran in preventing major cardiovascular and limb events in patients receiving percutaneous coronary or peripheral arterial revascularization. Inclisiran is a subcutaneous, twice-yearly injection that is FDA-approved as an adjunct with statin therapy and on the market to lower LDL-C in high-risk populations.
Interpersonal Relationships Intervention and Cardiovascular Health
The purpose of this study is to determine whether random assignment to a mentor-mentee relationship is associated with beneficial cardiovascular health effects in both mentors and mentees.
Angiotensin-(1-7) Cardiovascular Effects in Aging
Aging is an independent risk factor for developing hypertension and cardiovascular disease; however, the mechanisms underlying age-related cardiovascular disease remain poorly understood. One hallmark of aging is an increase in sympathetic nervous system activity, which can decrease the number and/or sensitivity of β2 adrenergic receptors to reduce dilation of blood …
