Diagnostic Efficacy Of 3 EUS-FNB Techniques
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a widely recognized tool for over 30 years for diagnosing intra-abdominal lesions and gastrointestinal cancers, especially pancreatic neoplasia. In most hospitals, it is the preferred method for sampling using fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) or histology needle aspiration biopsy (EUS-FNB) to obtain cytological and histological material for an …
Precision Therapy Versus Standard Therapy in AML and MDS in Elderly
This is a randomized clinical trial that randomizes between treatment principles. The study will investigate if precision therapy determined by a tumour board is better than standard treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in elderly. The tumour board will decide the precision therapy based on identified …
Effects of Fixation Technique On Thoracic Epidural Catheter Displacement
The purpose of our study is to assess the effectiveness of Dermabond as a thoracic epidural fixation technique compared to both Mastisol and the Grip-Lok fixation bandage, two common, widely used techniques for epidural fixation.
Intraoperative Exercises & Musculoskeletal Pain in Gynecologic Surgeons
The goal of this study is to evaluate the effect of intraoperative microbreaks and exercises on gynecologic surgeon body discomfort by conducting a randomized trial. We hypothesize that gynecologic surgeons will experience decreased pain on surgery days with intraoperative microbreaks and exercises without compromising overall surgical performance.
Opioid Treatment and Peer Recovery Support
Determine whether a facilitated local change team intervention improves a probation organization's client-level medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) outcomes and implementation outcomes relative to baseline across multiple sites. Determine whether client-level outcomes are further enhanced by the introduction of Peer Support Services.
Safety and Tolerability Study of Gene Editing Drug ZVS203e in Participants With Retinitis Pigmentosa
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of a single escalating doses of ZVS203e administered via subretinal injection in participants with RP caused by RHO site-specific gene mutation (RHO-RP).
Experimental and Clinical Studies of Retinal Stimulation
The study will evaluate new methods of retinal stimulation and training with the goal of improving the visual ability of retinal prosthesis participants.
STrategies for Anticoagulation in Patients With thRombocytopenia and Cancer-associated Thrombosis
Patients with cancer are prone to have blood clots, which are usually treated with blood thinners. The main complication of blood thinners is bleeding. This is especially a concern when the number of platelets in the blood is lower than 50,000 per microliter. The role of platelets is to stop …
Electrophysiological Source Imaging Guided Transcranial Focused Ultrasound
Neuromodulation is a fast growing field that offers a wide range of applications for both understanding and treating the brain. Future research for non-invasive neuromodulation will need to elucidate the optimal frequency, duration, and intensity of stimulation for a variety of technologies and diseases. Closed loop stimulation is thus a …
Meal Delivery and Exercise
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of a home-based exercise program administered through Meals on wheels (MOW) on gait speed and frailty status and to assess the association between novel serum biomarkers (70 kilodalton heat shock proteins (HSP70),Macrophage Inflammatory Proteins(MIP1b), soluble IL-6 receptor alpha-chain (sIL-6R)) and …
