This study was designed to investigate the effects of VR (virtual reality) glasses on vital signs and anxiety in conscious patients diagnosed with myocardial infarction and admitted to the cardiology intensive care unit.
Description
This study was designed to investigate the effects of VR (virtual reality) glasses on vital signs and anxiety in conscious patients with myocardial infarction (MI) admitted to the cardiology intensive care unit. Studies examining the psychological (anxiety) and physiological (vital signs) effects of VR application on MI patients in cardiology intensive care units are quite limited. In this context, this study aims to examine the effects of VR glasses application on the vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, SPO2, respiratory rate) and anxiety levels of MI patients in intensive care, within the framework of a randomized experimental design. The data obtained are expected to make significant contributions to the integration of technological interventions into cardiovascular disease management.
Eligibility
Inclusion Criteria:
- The patient is in intensive care.
- The patient has been diagnosed with myocardial infarction.
- The patient is between 18 and 70 years old.
- The patient is conscious.
- The patient is oriented and cooperative.
- The patient volunteers to participate in the study.
- The patient is open to communication.
- The patient agrees to participate in the study.
- The patient has no mental, visual, auditory, or speech impairment.
- The patient has undergone stent placement.
- The patient has STEMI.
Exclusion Criteria:
- The patient has a psychiatric disorder.
- The patient has any communication impairment.
