Dose Reduction of Postoperative Radiation for Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the Arms and Legs

The investigators are doing this study to find out whether lowering the dose of postoperative radiation therapy and targeting a smaller area of tissue for treatment is as effective as the standard dose and volume of radiation therapy to control soft tissue sarcoma after surgery. They also want to find …

A Study of Multiple Therapies in Biomarker-Selected Patients With Resectable Stages IB-III Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of various therapies in patients with Stage IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA, or selected IIIB resectable and untreated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumors that meet protocol-specified biomarker criteria

Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging to Determine High Risk Areas in Patients With Malignant Gliomas and to Design Potential Radiation Plans and to Examine Metabolite Changes in Gliomas and Other Solid Tumors

The researchers think that the use of advanced MR imaging may help people with this disease, because it may better predict areas within a malignant glioma (brain tumor) that are at a high risk of recurring. WeThe reserchers are doing this study to see whether this advanced imaging is a …

Use of Adenosine to Determine the Electrophysiological Mechanism of Premature Ventricular Contractions

Unblinded, controlled, non-randomized, mechanistic study to determine whether physiological mechanisms underlying PVC are sensitive to adenosine. One hundred subjects undergoing clinically-indicated, standard-of-care cardiac electrophysiology study (EPS) procedure for PVCs will receive adenosine and/or verapamil to learn if their arrhythmias are inducible similarly to sustained ventricular tachycardia.

A Phase I/II Study of VLS-1488 in Subjects With Advanced Cancer

This is a first-in-human phase I/II study to examine the safety, tolerability and preliminary efficacy of VLS-1488 in subjects with advanced cancers.

Lesion Dosimetry With Iodine-124 in Metastatic Thyroid Carcinoma

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a new diagnostic imaging test, positron emission tomography (PET), with a different radioactive form of iodine called iodine-124. This form is able to accurately measure the amount of radioactive iodine uptake in the cancer. If the new test determines sufficient radioiodine uptake …

Quantifying Bone and Skin Movement in the Residual Limb of Individuals With Transtibial Amputation Using Dynamic Stereo X-Ray

Individuals with lower extremity amputation are often challenged by complications that arise from poor prosthetic fit, including movement of the residual limb in the socket, known as pistoning. Pistoning can lead to gait instability, skin problems, and pain. Different prosthetic suspension systems have been developed to decrease this motion, including …

Testing the Addition of Total Ablative Therapy to Usual Systemic Therapy Treatment for Limited Metastatic Colorectal Cancer, The ERASur Study

This phase III trial compares total ablative therapy and usual systemic therapy to usual systemic therapy alone in treating patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to up to 4 body sites (limited metastatic). The usual approach for patients who are not participating in a study is treatment with intravenous …

Advanced Diffusion Imaging in Renal Cancer Patients

The objective of this study is to apply advanced diffusion imaging in a two-pronged assessment of renal mass patients: (1) characterization of lesion malignancy and subtype, and (2) prediction of renal function stability or decline following partial nephrectomy.
