Treatment of Metastatic Vulvar Carcinoma With Carboplatin and Paclitaxel Chemotherapy
Vulvar cancer is a rare malignancy. Surgery is the treatment of choice, but frequently causes invalidating and chronic postoperative morbidity, especially in patients with high stage disease. Theoretically, downstaging with neo adjuvant chemotherapy could shrink the tumour, making surgical treatment less extensive thereby diminishing the chance for morbidity.
Single-dose Preoperative Partial Breast Irradiation in Low-risk Breast Cancer Patients
In this ABLATIVE-2 trial, low-risk breast cancer patients will be treated with MRI-guided single dose preoperative partial breast radiotherapy to assess the rate of pathologic complete response after an interval of six to twelve months between radiotherapy and surgery. Response monitoring will be assessed using MRI and markers in blood …
Treatment of Locally Advanced VULvar CArcinoma in a Neoadjuvant Setting With Carboplatin and Paclitaxel Chemotherapy (VULCANize)
Vulvar cancer is a rare malignancy. Surgery is the treatment of choice, but frequently causes invalidating and chronic postoperative morbidity, especially in patients with high stage disease. Cerclage for the Reduction of Extreme Preterm Birth in Twin Pregnancies With a Short Cervix or Dilatation
The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the effectiveness of a cerclage in women with a twin pregnancy with a midpregnancy short cervix or cervical dilatation compared to standard treatment (no cerclage) in the prevention of extreme preterm birth < 28 weeks of gestational age. The main question …
Treating Immuno-metabolic Depression With Anti-inflammatory Drugs
As the role of (neuro)inflammation in depression is emerging, augmentation of antidepressant treatments with anti-inflammatory drugs such as celecoxib has shown encouraging preliminary results. However, inflammation is not present in all depressed patients. Depression is heterogeneous: patients express diverse and sometimes opposing symptoms and biological profiles. The investigators of the …
Pembrolizumab With Ataluren in Patients With Metastatic pMMR and dMMR Colorectal Carcinoma or Metastatic dMMR Endometrial Carcinoma: the ATAPEMBRO Study
Single Center, open label, Phase I-II trial designed to test the safety and efficacy of the combination of Ataluren and Pembrolizumab for the treatment of metastatic mismatch repair deficient and proficient colorectal adenocarcinoma and metastatic mismatch repair deficient endometrial carcinoma.
A Trial to Evaluate EP-104GI in Adults With Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE).
A Phase 1b/2 study to explore the safety, efficacy and pharmacokinetics of EP-104GI in adults with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Endoscopic and histologic assessments will also be evaluated to understand the local effects of EP-104GI on eosinophilic EoE disease activity. Approximately 27 to 33 participants will be enrolled in dose escalation: …
A Clinical Imaging Study of the Changes in [18F]F-AraG Uptake Following Anti-PD-1 Therapy in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
[18F]F-AraG is a promising tracer to image activated T-cells with positron emission tomography (PET). The aim of the SHARP trial is to investigate changes in [18F]F-AraG uptake following Anti-PD-1 therapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The Effects of 360-degree Virtual Reality on Pre-procedural Anxiety in Patients Awaiting Elective Cardiac Surgery Involving a Sternotomy
Rationale: Patients awaiting cardiac surgery can experience pre-procedural anxiety. This anxiety is associated with increased analgesic needs, increased risk of mortality and prolonged recovery time. Adequate patient education can help diminish pre-procedural anxiety and minimize postoperative complications. Recent studies have demonstrated that Virtual Reality (VR) can function as a useful …
TMS for Exposure Therapy Resistant OCD
TETRO is a multi-center placebo-controlled double-blind randomized controlled trial with an intervention phase of 5-7 weeks and a follow-up phase of 12 months in 250 adult (18 years and older) OCD patients who show no/insufficient response to ERP, aiming to establish the cost-effectiveness of low frequency (1 Hz) rTMS to …
