The Effect of Colchicine, on Insulin Sensitivity in Individuals With Type 1 Diabetes and Systemic Low-grade Inflammation
The aim for this clinical trial is to evaluate if colchicine in addition to standard of care improves insulin sensitivity in individuals with type 1 diabetes, systemic low-grade inflammaiton and reduced insulin sensitivity. The insulin sensitivity will be evaluated by a hyperinsulinemic, euglycemic clamp.
A First-in-Human Study of BG-C0902 Alone and in Combination With Other Therapeutic Agents in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors
This study is a first-in-human (FIH), Phase 1a/1b study of BG-C0902, a fully humanized anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and anti-mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) antibody, conjugated via an enzymatically cleavable linker to a topoisomerase 1 (TOPO1) inhibitor payload. The study aims to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics, and preliminary …
Use of the KASPARD System for Fall Prevention in Nursing Homes
Falls are a frequent cause of admission to nursing homes \[2\]. It is also the most frequently reported adverse event in these institutions. The prevention of falls in EHPAD must mobilise several levers of action and involve all staff. It must be included in the establishment's project in the same …
Burst Stimulation for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common cardiac arrhythmias worldwide, associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. Epidemiological studies in China show that the prevalence of AF in individuals aged ≥60 years ranges from 2% to 3%, with rates continuing to rise due to population aging. Paroxysmal atrial …
Clamp Study to Estimate the Relative Potency of GZR33 Versus Insulin Degludec at Steady State
This trial intends to investigate the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability of insulin GZR33 (hereafter referred to as GZR33) and estimate its potency in comparison with insulin degludec.
Effects of Muscle Specific as Compared to Movement Specific Muscle Energy Technique on Isometric Muscle Strength and Muscular Endurance in Individuals With Mechanical Neck Pain
Neck pain, prevalent in young adults due to poor posture, sedentary habits, and muscle imbalance. This study aims to compare the effects of muscle-specific versus movement-specific MET on pain, isometric muscle strength, and endurance of neck flexors and extensors. Pre- and post-intervention assessments using VAS, Modified Sphygmomanometer Dynamometer, and cranio-cervical …
Adaptive Stereotactic Radiotherapy for Localized Prostate Cancer
This study evaluates whether adaptive stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) provides dosimetric advantages compared to non-adaptive SBRT in localized prostate cancer. Five low-dose CT scans are performed before each SBRT session to assess anatomical variations (bladder filling, rectal volume) and determine if a dosimetric recalculation would have been required. The study …
Prospective Comparison of the Carbon Footprint of EUS vs MRCP for Evaluation of Suspected Choledocholithiasis
MRCP and EUS are diagnostically equivalent in detecting CBD stones among patients with intermediate risk, as shown in a landmark RCT. However, MRI-based imaging is power-intensive, requiring large infrastructure and long scan durations. EUS, a less energy-consuming and portable procedure, has the added advantage of enabling same-session ERCP, reducing the …
Effects of Rigid Taping in Acromioclavicular Joint Degeneration
This study will examine whether rigid taping applied to the acromioclavicular (AC) joint can reduce shoulder pain and improve shoulder function in people with AC joint degeneration. Participants with shoulder pain and a confirmed diagnosis of AC joint degeneration will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: (1) rigid …
Precision Rifampin Trial for Personalized Dosing
Individual pharmacokinetic variability is an important driver of tuberculosis (TB) treatment failure particularly among undernourished populations, and that suboptimal serum drug concentrations are associated with delayed response to treatment, death, and acquired bacterial drug resistance. Serum drug exposures can be approximated by urine excretion as measured by spectrophotometry, replacing the …
