Evaluation of Explanted Lungs by MRI and Biological Assays
The purpose of this multi-centered, NIH-sponsored study is to to develop an optimal protocol for using non-invasive 129Xe gas exchange MRI to detect changing disease activity in interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). We base this study on the demonstrated promise of 129Xe as a biomarker for both prognosis and therapy response, …
Mycotoxins in Mothers Milk in Israel
Some plant pathogen fungi may develop in grains, nuts and dry foodstuff during their storage. They secrete toxins which are very resistant and persistent. The toxins enter the human body through the food. Women eating without their knowledge spoiled food absorb the toxin which is conveyed into their milk. In …
Evaluation of Urinary Exosomes Presence From Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma
Clear cell renal cell carcinoma is diagnosed by imaging, sometimes associated with biopsy. This diagnosis is expensive, invasive and sometimes late. The development of a simple biological test for diagnosis is essential. Exosomes are 30 to 150 nm membrane vesicles secreted into the extracellular space by various living cells. These …
Auditory MMN EEG in TRD in Response to Ketamine
To develop and test a neurocomputational model of ketamine treatment response predictions in TRD.
Understanding Metabolism and Inflammation Risks for Diabetes in Adolescents
This research study collects health-related information and blood samples to better understand how body composition, lifestyle habits, and diet influence meta-inflammatory monocytes (MiMos) in adolescents. The hypothesis of this study is that adolescents at risk for metabolic disease have enhanced MiMo related activities leading to insulin resistance.
Multi-Centre, Prospective, Non-Interventional Study to Intensively Monitor the Safety of Sintilimab in Clinical Practice Among Chinese Patients
In recent years, immunotherapy has become one of the important treatments for malignant tumors. Among them, PD-1 inhibitors have been widely used in clinical practice, and have shown a significant survival benefits in many patients. However, the incidence of immune-related adverse reactions (irAEs) of PD-1 inhibitors is relatively high, and …
The Role of Intracranial Electroencephalography (IEEG) in the Localization of Epileptogenic Zones (EZ) and Its Relationship With Prognosis
The mechanism of epilepsy pathogenesis is complex and not fully defined, and about 20-30% of patients with seizures that cannot be completely controlled by drugs become drug-resistant epilepsy. For focal drug-resistant epilepsy, surgical removal of the epileptogenic zone can control seizures, but the overall seizure-free rate in the long term …
Pharmacokinetics of Bivalirudin for Pediatric Anticoagulation
This study will measure plasma concentrations of bivalirudin in pediatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgical procedures utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), or extracorporeal support with ECMO, ventricular support devices (VAD) or lung-assist devices (LAD). The aim is to understand the pharmacokinetics of bivalirudin in these settings.
The Prevalence of Hypoesthesia Related Keratitis in Ocular Graft Vs. Host Disease (GVHD) Patients
The Investigators hypothesize that the recalcitrant nature of ocular GVHD may be related to corneal nerve damage and corneal hypoesthesia. The investigators aim to study the prevalence of corneal hypoesthesia in GVHD patients and its correlation with ocular surface changes.
Extracorporeal Photopheresis in Sezary Syndrome
The primary endpoint is to determine if ECP induces a decrease in % of tumor cells after treatment. 15 patients with Sezary Syndrome will receive ECP weekly x4, then bi-weekly for 5 months. Each patient will donate 5 samples to determine immune responses in peripheral blood. Additional clinical assessments will …
