Transcriptional and Epimetabolic Profile of Breast Carcinoma With Luminal or HER2+ or Locally Advanced Triple-negative Histotype in Patients With/Without Previous Clinical History of Metabolic Syndrome
This prospective pilot study of biological specimens aims to identify new prognostic and predictive biomarkers of response to standard therapy for local advanced BC, as well as to identify new targets for the development of immuno- therapeutic protocols. First aim is therefore to expand our knowledge to increase the response …
Molecular Biomarkers of Response to Radiation Therapy in Breast Cancer
The purpose of this study is to identify potential genetic and other molecular biomarkers of response to radiation therapy in breast cancer that may help to personalize breast cancer radiation treatment in the future.
Lymphedema Evaluation After Adjuvant Hypofractionated Radiotherapy for 1-2 Macrometastatic Sentinel Lymph Nodes
In this observational prospective studi patients with invasive breast cancer no more than 5 cm and clinically node negative, scheduled for conservative surgery and Sentinel Node Biopsy (SNB), are enrolled in the protocol if they have 1-2 sentinel lymphnodes (SLNs) with macrometastases. SLN status will be checked on definitive sections.
Audit of Targeted Sentinel Node Biopsy (TSNB) in Patients With Limited Nodal Disease Undergoing Primary Surgery
Axillary ultrasound scan (AUS) is routinely employed in the UK for preoperative axillary staging and can diagnose approximately 50 - 80% of node positive patients when combined with percutaneous needle biopsy techniques (either core-biopsy or fine-needle aspiration cytology). It is recognised that nodal burden is generally higher in clinically node …
Real-World Study on CDK4/6 Inhibitors Combined With Endocrine Therapy and Subsequent Treatment in HR+/HER2- MBC.
Exploring the Efficacy and Safety of Different Systemic Treatment Regimens after CDK4/6i Progression in the Real World has significant implications. This study is an observational, real-world study. It plans to include over 300 eligible HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer patients who are currently receiving or planning to receive endocrine therapy regimens …
RADIomics to Predict HER2 Status And T-DXd Efficacy in Metastatic Breast Cancer: the RADIOSPHER2 Study
RADIOSPHER2 study is a monocentric, retrospective, observational study aiming at identifying a radiomics signature able to predict HER2 expression (0 vs low vs overexpression) and trastuzumab deruxtecan efficacy in metastatic breast cancer patients. The study also encompasses translational analyses and inter-modal correlations in order to provide novel insights about HER2 …
Postoperative Re-irradiaTion With and Without HYPERthermia: Toxicity, Quality of Life and Survival in Patients With Locoregional Recurrent Breast Cancer
In the Netherlands, breast cancer patients with locoregional recurrence (LRR) and high-risk factors are treated with postoperative re-irradiation with or without hyperthermia. Retrospective studies showed that 3-year locoregional control after postoperative re-irradiation with hyperthermia was 68-83%, and severe toxicity in up to 40% of LRR patients. Unfortunately, no prospective (randomized) …
Molecular Residual Disease Assessment in a Diverse Population of Patients With Early-stage Breast Cancer
The purpose of this study is to determine how circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), a sign of minimal residual disease (MRD), is detectable after surgery in patients with early HR+/HER2- breast cancer that has spread to 1-3 lymph nodes. Researchers aim to understand if ctDNA detection can identify patients at higher …
Investigating Paclitaxel Toxicity in Breast Cancer: the Roles of Physical Activity and Body Composition.
This study looks into how a common breast cancer treatment, paclitaxel, can sometimes cause severe side effects that make it hard for patients to continue treatment. These side effects can significantly affect a patient's quality of life and even impact their recovery and overall health costs. What's interesting about this …
Retrospective Observational Study of the Safety and Toxicity Management of Abemaciclib in Combination with Adjuvant Hormone Therapy in Patients with RH+ ,HER2-nonoveramplified Breast Cancer, Real-life Data (MONARCHE29)
Overall survival at 8 years under treatment for localized hormone-dependent breast cancer is 93.3% (1). Adjuvant therapy, especially hormone therapy, helps reduce the risk of recurrence. However, the risk of relapse remains significant, estimated at around 20% according to studies. The SOFT study, which compares the type of hormone therapy …
